I had the best experience with buying my kitty. I originally contacted Lori for information on a Scottish Fold, and after talking with her, I knew that any kitten from her line would be just a sweet, loving and healthy animal. I was right! I adopted a British Shorthair, and named him Duncan. He is the most beautifully marked cat, and has a personality to match. From the moment we started driving home with him, he had a great attitude. He is curious, happy and mellow. He really takes all things in stride, which helped me socialize him with my other kitten when we got home. When I come home from work, he greets me by running down the hallway towards me. If I close my eyes, it sounds like a herd of buffalo… pretty impressive stuff for a 6-pound baby! He purrs and tells me about his day. He’s right there to kiss me when I finish my shower and reach for my towel, and then, of course, he is more than happy to hop in and do his part to dry the bathtub as well… although he much more prefers a dry bathtub he can sleep in!! When I sleep, he’s often there, on the pillow next to my head, or behind me, stitching (or as I like to think, giving me a nice head massage). He’s the first cat in line for canned food at night, and usually the first to play with any toy. He will play and play until he is panting. He loves to hunt! As for toys, Duncan’s favorite toy of all is his big tail. Considering that it’s about a third of his size, it makes an easy thing to catch… sometimes. He will run around in circles until he falls down dizzy, which makes my favorite cat toy his tail as well! It’s hard to say what my favorite thing about Duncan is – his fat little tail, his beautiful face, or his awesome personality. Everyone who meets him threatens to take him home to their houses. I truly believe that it’s how well he was loved as a kitten that has helped shape this lovely pet, and I thank Lori and Peggy for all the love they gave him and his parents.
